OneTouchTV Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 10, 2026·Direct mobile application policy·14 Comprehensive Sections

This document outlines how information is handled when you use the OneTouchTV mobile application, including our account-free design, local on-device caching, catalog API calls, and advertising frameworks.

1. Introduction

Welcome to OneTouchTV (“OneTouchTV,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you access and use the OneTouchTV mobile application (“App”). We are committed to transparency and respecting your privacy.

OneTouchTV is an informational entertainment discovery and curation application designed to help you browse movies and television shows, explore metadata, view trailers, and organize personal watchlists.

2. Account-Free Architecture

OneTouchTV does not require you to create an account, register, or provide personal credentials. We do not collect or store your name, email address, password, or physical address on our own servers.

You can browse movies and television shows, view actor profiles, explore genres, and manage personal lists without creating an account.

3. Information Stored Locally

To provide personalized discovery features without requiring an account, OneTouchTV stores certain operational data locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This information may include:

  • Watchlists and Favorites: Movies and television shows added to your “To Watch,” “Watched,” or “Favorites” lists.
  • Search History: Recent search queries used to provide convenient search suggestions.
  • App Preferences: Onboarding completion status and other viewing preferences.
  • Temporary Cache: Cached catalog metadata used to improve browsing performance.

This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our own servers as part of these local storage features. You can clear your search history and local cache through Settings > Data Management > Clear Search History & Cache, if available, or remove locally stored app data by uninstalling the App.

4. The Movie Database (TMDb) API

OneTouchTV uses The Movie Database (TMDb) API to provide entertainment metadata, including movie and television show descriptions, release dates, ratings, and imagery such as posters, backdrops, and actor profile images.

When you use catalog search and browsing features, relevant search terms, language preferences, and standard technical request information may be transmitted to TMDb to retrieve the requested content. OneTouchTV does not intentionally send personal identity records to TMDb through these catalog requests.

OneTouchTV uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDb.

For more information about TMDb's data practices, please visit: https://www.themoviedb.org/privacy-policy

5. Google AdMob and Advertising

OneTouchTV may display advertisements provided through Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google and its advertising partners may process technical and advertising-related information to serve, measure, personalize, and protect advertisements.

Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and applicable settings, information processed by advertising services may include:

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, app information, and available advertising identifiers, such as Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or Google's Advertising ID, where applicable.
  • Technical and Network Information: IP address, network information, and approximate location inferred from the IP address.
  • Advertising Activity: Ad impressions, clicks, rewarded advertisement completion events, and related performance information.
  • Diagnostics and Fraud Prevention: Technical logs and signals used to diagnose errors, detect invalid traffic, and prevent advertising fraud or abuse.

The information actually processed depends on the advertising services and configurations used in the App, the device platform, and applicable privacy requirements.

For more information, please review Google's advertising policies and privacy information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

6. Personalized and Non-Personalized Ads

Depending on your location, device settings, consent status, and applicable legal requirements, advertisements displayed in OneTouchTV may be personalized or non-personalized.

  • Personalized Ads: Advertisements selected using information that may include interests, activity, or advertising profiles, subject to applicable consent and privacy settings.
  • Non-Personalized Ads: Advertisements selected primarily using contextual information, such as the content or general context of the App, rather than a personalized advertising profile.

Non-personalized advertising may still involve the processing of certain technical information for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, security, and fraud prevention.

7. Privacy Choices and Consent

You have multiple choices to manage advertising personalization, device tracking, and privacy settings through your device configurations and applicable consent dialogs:

  • iOS Devices: You can manage tracking permissions under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or control advertising personalization under Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.
  • Android Devices: You can reset your Google Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads under Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
  • Consent Management Platform (CMP): In jurisdictions requiring consent prior to ad personalization (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), OneTouchTV presents a Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form allowing you to grant, refuse, or customize consent choices at any time.
  • Industry-Wide Opt-Out Mechanisms: You can learn more about interest-based advertising or exercise opt-out choices across participating networks via the Network Advertising Initiative at https://optout.networkadvertising.org or the Digital Advertising Alliance at https://optout.aboutads.info.

8. Third-Party Links and External Services

The App may contain links to external third-party services, such as official trailer previews hosted on YouTube or title reference pages on TMDb.

Once you leave the OneTouchTV App or interact with embedded video players or web links, your interactions are governed strictly by the respective third party's terms of service and privacy notices. We do not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for the privacy practices, content, or policies of external websites and services.

We recommend reviewing third-party privacy notices directly:

9. Children's Privacy

OneTouchTV is an informational entertainment discovery application designed for a general audience. We do not knowingly solicit, request, collect, or process personal data from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by applicable local law, such as the European Union and the United Kingdom).

Because OneTouchTV operates under an account-free model without server-side user databases, no personal identifiers of minors are registered or held on our servers.

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that personal information regarding your child has been processed through advertising integrations, please contact us at support@onetouchtv.app so that we can promptly address your concern.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not maintain accounts or host user profile databases on remote servers, OneTouchTV does not store your search history or watchlist collections on our servers.

  • On-Device Data Retention: Information saved to your device (such as watchlists and cached metadata) persists until you clear your app data in device settings or uninstall the App.
  • Ad Partner Data Retention: Information processed by third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) is retained in accordance with Google's documented data retention schedules and privacy guidelines.

11. Data Security and Transmission

We value the security of your interactions. Although OneTouchTV does not maintain a server database of user passwords or personal profiles, all catalog requests to the TMDb API and advertising requests to Google AdMob are performed over industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS) protocols.

While no electronic transmission over the internet or mobile networking framework can guarantee 100% security, we adhere to recognized mobile engineering best practices to protect the integrity of the application.

12. Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside, you may possess specific legal rights under applicable privacy laws:

A. European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or request erasure of personal data; to restrict or object to processing; and to withdraw consent at any time. For on-device information, you can exercise these rights directly by clearing app data or uninstalling the App. For advertising consent, you can adjust your preferences via the in-app consent menu or your operating system's privacy settings.

B. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), affords California residents specific rights regarding personal information:

  • The right to know what personal information is collected and processed.
  • The right to request deletion of personal information.
  • The right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • The right to be free from discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

OneTouchTV does not sell personal information for monetary compensation. You may opt out of cross-context behavioral advertising by managing your device's advertising identifier settings or declining personalized advertising.

To exercise applicable statutory privacy rights or submit inquiries, contact us at support@onetouchtv.app.

13. Changes and Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in our mobile application features, third-party integrations, legal obligations, or technical architecture.

When updates occur, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about our data handling practices.

Your continued use of OneTouchTV following the posting of revisions signifies your acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated terms.
